Curtains: Nemesis (finally, hahaha).

We're finally done with Nemesis, which actually took a year in the making, hahaha. Mimay, Betty and I were supposed to have done this last year for Mimay's directing class under Jose Estrella, but due to the search of the perfect Alan and other complications along the way, it got deferred to this year.

After weeks of planning and rehearsals (still continued with the search for Alan as Tad had to decline due to Romeo and Juliet rehearsals), we were finally back on track. Evenings at Ayn's house (dubbed as Villa Dimaya by Mimay) became a regular thing. We always looked forward to dinner before rehearsal started, as well as Opa-bashing on the side, hahaha! We just love our stage manager, wahehehe. I swear, this play would have been pretty different if we got someone else to be our SM. No one would be as generous as to feed Betty all her lines, and as well as provide murmured comments as Mimay piled up all my notes, hahaha. I'll miss all the crazy conversations we always have around the dining table, discussions over the script, several Filipino translations, character profiles, "sharing dreams" and looking interested, hehe.

I was actually grateful for rehearsals being so far from my comfort zone. It meant learning a new commuting route, and how to get around.

Early call time at Teatro Hermogenes Ylagan yesterday morning. Because of that, my mom had to curl my hair the night before. But per usual, because my stick-straight hair can't really hold much of a curl, it wasn't as tight as I wanted by the time I got off the UP jeep.

After one stage adjustment, we only got to have one DTR before the actual show, where I had to drink real liquor, hahaha. Hello, that's the only thing similar about Margaret and I, so the reaction from the whiskey was totally real. Due to the time constraints, after the DTR, we just rehearsed the 2nd half of the play and the curtain call. Hahaha, out of sheer amusement during the bathroom break, I was still in the stall, reading all the famous vandalisms that you find in every other forwarded email. For a change, I snapped photos of a couple of them.

Showtime! It went pretty great. It was pretty amusing to have the audience laugh at some lines that we didn't expect to actually be funny. When Alvin suddenly had the mistake of switching Betty's and my names around, I just had to react in that Margaret tone, "AKO?" Hahahaha! Benta sa audience!

By the time the show had ended, I suddenly recognized people from the crowd. There was Merv, sitting in the front row, hahaha! And yay, Micah, Dyown and Billy came to watch as well! And while I was still talking to them, I was super surprised and glad to see that Arni and Lav were also there.

After the show, Opa and I headed over to CCP for the 2nd day of Virgin Labfest auditions. Of course, I wanted to be there, as Tad was going to be there. They had watched the premiere of Hubad the movie that afternoon and went straight to sign up for the auditions. There they all were, the AC hanging around at the south entrance and some inside the door. Basically just chitchat, camwhoring and kulitan, with Chrome and Je's new magic trick on the side, hahaha. Tin was also at the audition! Yay! It was great to see all these crazy people all in one day.

Still too early. I'm still to lazy to move. But I still have to get going. *stretch*
