how time flies

Another week had gone by. I can't believe that in just 2 weeks, we'll already be having our recital. Holy kamote, it's that fast.

Hahaha, what I'm not used to is being one of the "ates," being the 2nd eldest girl in the class. Practically everyone calls me "ate." It's so funny how at first they couldn't believe how old I am, but upon finding out, "ate" na agad. It feels weird. Last year, I was also one of the elder ones in the class, but there was no real "ate" or "kuya" even though some were just called by that title. Oh well. Plus there was this one improv exercise when Gemma and I were playing opposite each other, and then I heard someone say "Ang mga veterans" in a low voice. Nyak. Hahaha, I remember the "national artist" term that Mimay and I were known for.

Anyway, we did the character profile exercise last Friday night. Hahaha, we were brought to Harbour Square as our characters. Some came up with interesting profiles. My favorites were the fantasy princess (Guia), the Harvard student with Turrets syndrome (Gino), and the girl with leukemia (Allein). Cinderella was quite disturbing, as she had become a real disturbed Dreena who wanted to kill herself. I was afraid that she'd have a hard time shedding her character once she had stormed out of the room when she was done with her interview. Huwaw. It was amusing experience for me this year. We actually got to interact a lot during the entire walk, and during our interviews, I actually managed to flesh out my character more than I had expected.

Once again, a bunch of us wanted to go out Saturday night. After a class of "musical" freeze tag (I loved it!), analyzing a monologue, and film viewing, Gino, Gem, Minette, Allein, Christian, Guia, Cindy, Faye and I had dinner at Tapa King. One by one, Faye, Cindy, Gem and Guia had to go, and so the rest of us walked to Malate to meet with Arvin.

We first walked to Penguin, but the place was packed and no one we knew were there (except Lao who was most likely selling his jewelry), so we kept walking until we settled at Ours. Chitchat here and there, a bit of gossip and a few drinks, then we decided to change venues. Ended up at Giligan's (hahaha, bar hopping?) for more drinks and sisig. More talk, and we even tried to go around the table. Naku, ayaw nilang tantanan yung kwento ko during this gibberish/hickory dickory duck exercise. Sir Roeder kasi kept pointing it out as a good example (really???), so they wanted to know what story I was telling.

By the time we got sick of sitting at Giligan's, we went to the other corner and checked out Top & Bottom, this store above O Bar. After a while, we kept walking, not really knowing where to go. Hahaha, we ended up sitting somewhere along Baywalk, just talking and talking until the sun rose. It was so funny how we just noticed that everything was getting brighter, then decided that it was high time for us to get off our bums and go home, hahaha.

Listening to APO songs right now for our showcase. I have to study "Syotang Pa-class" (ahahahaha, comments, anyone?) and "Blue Jeans."
